Thinkin' & Drivin'

Somebody found you
Somebody lost you
No, I’m not one for losing sleep
It’s your loss. It ain’t mine
So why do I pass the time
Chasin’ dotted lines
I’m thinkin’ and drivin’ all night
Thinkin’ and drivin’
Drivin’ and thinkin’
Instead of drinkin’
To the notion that we’re thru
Thinkin’ and drivin’
Drivin’ and thinkin’ it through
All those bridges burning
Between my rear view and you
Somebody pinch me
Somebody tell me
Why I am feelin’ so alone
And what I’m doin’ here
I’d rather be somewhere else
Throwin’ back a beer
But I’m thinkin’ and drivin’ all night
Thinkin’ and drivin’
Drivin’ and thinkin’
Instead of drinkin’
To the notion that we’re thru
Thinkin’ and drivin’
Drivin’ and thinkin’ it through
All those bridges burning
Between my rear view and you
Somebody found you
Somebody lost you
But now I finally understand
That I’m the one who’s lost
There’s not enough on my tab
To cover the cost
Of thinkin’ and drivin’ all night
Thinkin’ and drivin’
Drivin’ and thinkin’ it through
All those bridges burning
Between my rear view and you
Somebody find me
And then remind me
Before I begin to drink away
My last ounce of the truth
I still have a thirst for gin and vermouth
But I’m thinkin’ and drivin’ all night
I’ll take the passing lane
Like a piece of advice
By thinkin’ and drivin’ all night
