Everything to Gain & Nothing to Lose
She has a corner office in town
And a place in Bel Air
But when she comes home
at the end of the day
Heck, there’s nobody there
She says she doesn't care,
doesn't care, doesn't care,
doesn't  care, about livin’ alone
Then stares at the walls in her condo
They make her cry ‘bout
Time lost and gone

She’s had so much to gain
And so much to lose
Missed the signs at the fork in the road
And a chance to choose
Now she’s desperately, desperately
Wishin’ for someone
To chase away the blues
She’s had everything to gain
And so much to lose

How she got to this lonely place
She just doesn't know
Then remembers that empty
space in her heart
Left there three years ago
She wants to turn around,
turn around, turn around,
Turn around, on the road that she’s on
And return to the things that matter

She’s has so much to gain
And nothing to lose
Another try at the fork in the road
Another chance to choose
Now she’s finally, finally
Ready for someone
To share a mile in her shoes
She has everything to gain
And nothing to lose

She tries on that little black dress
She bought in Paris
It makes her feel a bit younger
The way she used to be
So she’ll take a chance,
Take a chance, take a chance,
Take a chance at insecurity
Looking at herself in the mirror
She now likes the woman she sees

She’s has so much to gain
And nothing to lose
Another try at the fork in the road
Another chance to choose
Now she’s finally, finally
Ready for someone
To share a mile in her shoes
She has everything to gain
And nothing to lose
